Yerevan, January 30th / News-Armenia/: Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan posted a video on his Facebook page detailing the government’s decision to allow citizens with deposits in the USSR Savings Bank to receive them back.
“In 2025, we returned deposits to those who were born before December 31, 1942. This year, we decided to extend this period by 2 years at once and return the deposits of people born before December 31, 1944,” the minister said, stressing that we are talking about 5,000-6,000 citizens.
Torosyan said that in order to return them, it is necessary to contact the territorial center of the unified social service with an identity document, as well as a social card or a license plate for public services.:
The applicant must also have the depositor’s savings book (if available), a certificate from VTB Armenia CJSC on the data on the depositor’s bank account card as of June 10, 1993, as well as other relevant documents, if any.:
