In cases of confiscation of property of illicit origin, the State is preparing to abolish the current reconciliation mechanism, through which a person can retain up to 25 percent of the property, returning 75 percent to the State. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at a briefing with journalists after a government meeting today.

“There are no more 25 percent, they should not be. We gave them this chance, they haven’t used it for 8 years, now they have to give it back 100%. Legislative changes will be introduced soon, and this reconciliation process will be canceled. That is, starting with illegally acquired shoes, we will take them,” Pashinyan said.

Recall that Nikol Pashinyan returned to the criminal cases and the arrest of a preventive measure initiated against the 2nd President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan and former Finance Minister Gagik Khachatryan.
