Pashinyan’s new proposal to Azerbaijan. That’s what the Prime Minister suggested

“Azerbaijan, on the one hand, says “West Azerbaijan”, on the other hand, they say it is written in “Karabakh Armenians”. In 2025, on August 8th after August 18th, I said in my message that the topic of return is a very dangerous topic.:

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at a meeting with journalists in Hamburg, referring to Azerbaijan’s statement that the wording “Armenians of Karabakh who became refugees after the military actions of Azerbaijan” is included in the document of the Armenia-EU strategic agenda.

“And now I want to make an open, public offer to Azerbaijan, because despite the fact that they have problems on these topics, we also have problems. I suggest that we adopt a joint roadmap aimed at closing these two topics in parallel. I also told our people in Karabakh that their return is unrealistic.

If we continue the return agenda, it means that we are starting the Karabakh movement again, but I said that we should not continue the Karabakh movement. But, on the other hand, even in Armenia, they see that Azerbaijan constantly uses the incomprehensible terminology of “West Azerbaijan”. Now we need to understand what is the cause, what is the cause, and what is the effect.

I say, let’s sit down and develop a roadmap for how we raise this topic, because removing this topic means, in a long-term strategic plan, identifying any conflict situation as a whole.:

I said that there cannot be a “Western Azerbaijan” in the Republic of Armenia, and yes, if we have recognized territorial integrity, and we have recognized each other’s territorial integrity, then this must be fully implemented,” Nikol Pashinyan said.
