At a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan reiterated the need to end the Karabakh conflict.

This is reported by TASS.

“As for the issues related to Karabakh, I have already very transparently and publicly stated in Armenia that we should not continue the Karabakh movement, since peace has already been established between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Pashinyan said.

The Prime Minister of Armenia stressed that both Armenia and Azerbaijan recognize each other’s territorial integrity, political independence and sovereignty on the basis of the Alma Ata Declaration of 1991. According to him, this means that Yerevan and Baku mutually recognize that independent Armenia is 100% identical to Soviet Armenia, and independent Azerbaijan is 100% identical to Soviet Azerbaijan.

Pashinyan considered this to be a solid enough foundation for the further development of peace.
