Armenian citizens will be able to enter Russia only with passports, including diplomatic ones. The Russian government has approved a draft of relevant amendments to the Russian-Armenian agreement on visa-free travel in 2000, TASS reports.:

The changes were previously agreed with Yerevan and will be formalized through an exchange of notes. The government has approved a draft response note from Russia on the adoption of an updated list of documents proposed by Armenia, through which Armenian citizens could visit Russia.

To enter, leave, and stay in Russia, the following documents will remain on the list of Armenian citizens: a passport of a citizen of Armenia, a diplomatic passport, and a certificate of return to Armenia (only for leaving Russia, for example, in case of passport loss).

According to the current version of the agreement, Armenian citizens can currently also visit Russia with a birth certificate (for children under 16), military personnel and employees of a number of law enforcement and judicial authorities, a flight certificate of an aircraft crew member and a certificate of a railway transport worker (when they are part of railway crews).
