There are opportunities for a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, but Russia and Ukraine must first come to an agreement. This statement was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“All other countries are ready to support and help… but the problem must eventually be solved by the countries involved in the conflict, Russia and Ukraine. This is the right approach,” he said at the Eastern Economic Forum.

Putin noted that Ukraine’s Western allies, who remain silent, become accomplices of international terrorism.

He also said that Russia supports the restoration of full-fledged relations with the United States, but it also depends on Washington. Contacts with the US administration are continuing. The Russian leader noted that Donald Trump is committed to positive, constructive work.
