Who can receive a lump sum at the birth of a child<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the parent of the newborn,
the adoptive parent,
the guardian.
The allowance is assigned and paid if the parent and the newborn are registered in the Republic of Armenia and are located on the territory of the Republic of Armenia (except in cases provided for by law).:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special cases<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the child’s birth is registered in a foreign country, an allowance can be awarded if the parent and child are registered and located in Armenia.
A foreign parent can receive benefits if
the child is registered at a residential address in Armenia,
the parent and the child are in Armenia,
and the parent has been registered in Armenia for the last three years in a row.,
No birth allowance was provided in a foreign country.

A parent loses the right to benefits if\u2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n

abandoning the child,
placing the child in an orphanage or social protection organization,
the child is adopted,
the child is recognized as left without parental care.
A one-time allowance at the birth of a child is assigned and paid to the guardian regardless of whether the child has the status of a child left without parental care.:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The amount of the allowance<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In case of the birth of the first and second child-300,000 drams.
In case of the birth of the third and fourth child-AMD 1,000,000.
In case of the birth of the fifth and each subsequent child-AMD 1,500,000.
If more than one child is born at the same time, the amount of the allowance is set for each in accordance with the highest category.
