On November 29, 2023, the Competition Protection Commission announced a new deal concluded by Mega Trade and Anis Petro through the creation of a new legal entity in the Armenian petroleum products market. A company created by combining these two companies must operate under the Gulf trademark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mega Trade LLC belongs to the family of Khachatur Sukiasyan, a member of the ruling Civil Contract faction. This company is part of the Sil Capital group of companies, owned by the Sukiasyan family. As for”Anis Petro”, the roots of this company go back to the British Virgin Islands, which are an offshore zone. Georgian businessmen are also behind this company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did Sukiasyans end up on the Armenian oil products market<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sukiasyan’s entry into the oil products market became known in 2021. This was announced by Khachatur Sukiasyan’s press secretary Anna Mkrtchyan, saying that the company “seal Concern” acquired the company “RAN-Oil”. For example, Hakob Aleksanyan, the owner of a 15 percent stake in Mega Trade, also owns a 20 percent stake in another company affiliated with Sukiasyan, Flyuan Armenia LLC. In 2022, Garegin Mkrtchyan, the owner of a 20 percent stake in Mega Trade, acquired the Kotayk brewery from Khachatur Sukiasyan’s matchmaker Gagik Tsarukyan, 45 percent of which belongs to Aramais Grigoryan., The remaining 20 percent belongs to Arash Nosratialamdari of Iranian origin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Mega Trade LLC represents the RAN-Oil brand in the oil products market, as the Mega Trade cash receipt is printed at gas stations.
