The Ministry of Education and Science has submitted for public discussion a draft to change the order of formation of classes of a state educational institution that implements basic general education programs in the Republic of Armenia. According to the state standard of general education, it is planned to reduce the workload of students in classrooms. The draft proposes to establish a phased implementation of changes in the formation of classes, which, in particular, from September 1, 2026, provides for the introduction of a new set in only 1 class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

in the classrooms, setting requirements for a maximum of 26-30 students to form each class. Each subsequent academic year, classes with a reduced composition will be formed in grades 1, and classes formed according to the same principle in the previous academic year will retain their composition. considering the resource and structural problems existing in the field of general education, the workload of the physical environment and learning spaces in schools, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to a certain shortage of teaching and auxiliary teaching staff, a step-by-step transition to the above requirement of completing classes with a gradual approach is proposed, which will ensure the stability and predictability of the educational process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organizations and structures can submit their comments and suggestions on the project on a single platform of draft legal acts until 2026. March 26, inclusive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
